Jesus

Definition:

Jesus is the eternal Son of God, the second Person of the Trinity, fully God and fully man. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, taught with divine authority, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and now reigns as Lord and Savior. He is the center of the Christian faith.

Biblical Basis:

John 1:14 — “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…”

Colossians 1:15–17 — “He is the image of the invisible God… all things were created through him and for him.”

Acts 4:12 — “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name… by which we must be saved.”

Theological Significance:

Jesus is not merely a teacher, prophet, or moral example—He is God in the flesh, the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, and the risen King who will return. Belief in Jesus is not optional for discipleship—it is essential. To know Jesus is to know the Father. To follow Him is to be transformed by truth and love.

How We Use It in DiscipleLife:

Jesus isn’t just our destination—He’s our Way. This entire Expedition is about knowing Him more deeply, trusting Him more fully, and becoming more like Him. Every truth we explore, every challenge we face, and every act of obedience we make flows from who He is and what He’s done.
