Glorification
Definition:
Glorification is the final stage of salvation in which believers are fully transformed, perfected, and united with God in eternity. It marks the end of sin, suffering, and death—and the beginning of eternal life in its fullest expression.
Biblical Basis:
Romans 8:30 — “And those whom he justified he also glorified.”
Philippians 3:20–21 — “…the Lord Jesus Christ… will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body…”
1 John 3:2 — “…when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.”
Theological Significance:
Glorification completes the believer’s journey. While justification declares us righteous and sanctification makes us righteous in practice, glorification perfects us forever. It is the fulfillment of God’s promise to fully redeem His people—body, mind, and spirit—so that they may dwell with Him in unbroken joy. This is the ultimate hope of the Christian life.
How We Use It in DiscipleLife:
The trail doesn’t end in this life. Every step we take is leading somewhere—toward wholeness, restoration, and glory. Glorification is the summit of our Expedition: the day when we are finally made complete and can see the One we’ve followed face to face.
