Welcome to A Disciple’s Life
For the soul that refuses to settle. For the believer who knows there’s more—and wants to experience God’s true purpose.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
— Romans 12:2 (ESV)
This is a call to transformation.
Not by opinion.
Not by culture.
But by the truth of God’s Word.
The Expedition is a step-by-step journey. It is designed to renew your mind. It helps you discern the will of God. It also helps you understand what is truly good, acceptable, and perfect for your life.
If you’re ready to think deeply, walk wisely, and follow Jesus with clarity— you’re in the right place. The journey starts here.

The Expedition Begins
Waypoint 1 – A Moment of Rest and Reflection Along the Journey
The Place Where We Agree to Begin Together
Before we begin, let’s be honest: there is no clear beginning to this journey.
There’s no trailhead with a welcome sign, no gate that says “Start Here.” The truth is, we’ve all been walking for a long time already—some wandering, some running, some crawling. But we’ve all been moving.
That’s why this isn’t the beginning. It’s a waypoint.
It’s a place we’ve agreed to meet—right here, right now—on the trail.
Where we examine the map, check our direction, and ask the question every disciple must eventually face:
Am I really following Jesus, or am I just walking my own way with a Christian label attached?
It’s the moment we decide to stop pretending and start pursuing.
From here, we’ll move into the expedition. Not perfectly. Not confidently. But honestly—and together.
We’ll begin by examining what God’s plan truly is. We need to understand why we’re even here. We will explore what this whole expedition is supposed to lead toward. But first, we must decide: are we actually willing to walk it?
So welcome to the journey.
Not the start of your story, but perhaps the start of something new.
A place of rest and realignment—before we climb higher.

Field Note
Field Note – March 28, 2025 Why am I writing these essays? If you’re reading this, then in some way—you’re searching. Maybe it’s for understanding, for truth, for purpose, or just a clearer picture of what it really means to follow Christ. I know that search well. For years, I thought I understood my faith.…

Life is more than a journey—it’s an expedition
Deep within every heart lies a longing for purpose, an innate desire to discover the highest good. Worldviews serve as compasses, guiding us through life’s rugged terrain—but not all compasses point toward truth.
As a Christian disciple, I believe the biblical worldview points in the true direction. It brings me joy to invite you on the adventure of a lifetime. This is an expedition guided by the Holy Spirit. It is illuminated by the map of Scripture.
This is far more than a quest for answers. It’s a pursuit of the One who crafted the very path beneath our feet. Together, let’s seek the truth, explore the profound meaning of reality, and uncover the breathtaking plan of God.
